Nevan Shokar is the founder of the Shokar Group, bringing over a decade of experience in real estate investment, development, and public-private partnerships. His career began in institutional real estate, where he led over $2.7 billion in transactions, followed by major acquisitions with Miller Capital Advisory. Returning to Detroit, Nevan joined the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, where he played a key role in transformative projects like District Detroit and the $2.5 billion Fiat-Chrysler Mack Avenue Plant, securing public incentives and driving economic growth. He later served as Vice President at Basco, leading financing, leasing, and development strategy for major urban projects. Nevan holds a finance and accounting degree from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, graduating with distinction.
